My Capstone Experience:
I enjoyed sharing my work with people at the capstone show. I think without this element in the class, students would really miss out on being able to stand behind their work and get outside feedback. It was also really great to see everyone else’s projects and to view all of our hard work displayed in one place.
I spoke with some really wonderful individuals who had great feedback for Launch Cube. Many people were supportive of the idea and were pushing me to speak with representatives of Milwaukee to get the QR Code Benches out and in use. I especially enjoyed the individuals who came up and asked difficult questions about my project. It was great to feel challenged and show that I had done my research.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was happy to share the work I had done with friends, family, faculty, and the community. Thanks!

Direct Marketing Print piece: This will be a small scale, 5x8” booklet that will be sent out to major companies in the Milwaukee area. These companies will add content to the open framework of Launch Cube by posting projects that they would like feedback on from the community.
This takes the place of the previous piece I was working on with the scavanger hunt.
After my last critique, I felt it was necessary to try and connect the application with the benches in my branding as an overall concept. We had talked about placing multiple benches at a specific location so that it feels more conversational (rather than just one). I moved forward with this idea and plan on placing four benches at a “launch location”. The number four relates back to the four topics of art, architecture, environment, and sustainability.
I am planning on my benches being designed as cubes with a QR code placed inside. I decided to call the company “Launch Cube” because people can launch their ideas on the application while interacting as a group, sitting on the cubes.
These square shapes would be used throughout the application, most specifically on the map to show where “launch topics” are being discussed. Let me know what you think!
